Meet The Agent
Marcelo Buril has called Athens, GA home since 1999 — long enough to watch it grow into that rare blend of small-town roots and big-city amenities, with the infrastructure to match. He came from Recife, Brazil, with a Civil Engineering degree, planning to return home after studying English at UGA — instead, he stayed, and after nearly two decades in corporate operations, moved into work that put relationships first: real estate.
Today, Marcelo is a Realtor with Greater Athens Properties and a licensed Mortgage Loan Originator. He also serves as President of the Board of Directors of Casa de Amistad, an Athens nonprofit offering free ESL and GED classes, and is a local musician who partners with Athentic Brewing Co. to host a monthly community blues jam.
